Woman arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
A Beaumont woman has been arrested after a drunken argument resulted in a stabbing early Saturday morning, Aug. 9, Beaumont police report.
According to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department, at about 6:15 a.m., officers responded to an apartment at 6550 Lexington in reference to a victim of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a 57-year-old male who was suffering from a stab wound to the chest. Ebony Living, 31, was soon identified as the actor and secured, BPD reports.
During the investigation, detectives discovered the two were friends and got into an argument while drinking. Living allegedly stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife at least two times.
EMS transported the victim to St. Elizabeth’s, where he was being treated for life-threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition.
Living was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and booked in at Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
