Structure on fire on Tulane

At approximately 12:45 AM, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to the report of a structure on fire at 1695 Tulane, according to a press release. When firefighters arrived, they found a vacant dwelling fully involved by fire. Firefighters were able to control the fire within fifteen minutes but not before a house next door also received some damage to the exterior. The occupant of that house was able to escape without injury. The house where the fire originated is reported to have been vacant and unsecured. A fire investigator has determined the cause of the fire to be deliberate. There is no suspect information at this time. Due to the extent of the fire, firefighters worked on the scene over two hours to fully extinguish the hot spots.
