Murder investigation in Fannett
Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting in Fannett that left one man dead.
According to a news release from JCSO, the office received a call at approximately 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, regarding a shooting in the 15000 block of Boondocks Rd. The caller told police a pedestrian flagged him down and told the caller he had been involved in a shooting. The actor remained with the caller until deputies arrived.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered 51-year-old Cole Dupuy of Fannett deceased outside the residence. He was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Ray Chesson. The suspect actor was taken into custody and charged with murder. Investigators are not releasing the identity of the suspect until arraignment and bond is set. At this time, the suspect is being held at the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
