Meth, synthetic marijuana seized in Orange bust

Orange Police arrested one woman and seized a quantity of methamphetamine along with synthetic marijuana during a drug bust at a local motel on April 23.

According to a news release from OPD, on April 23 at about 10:30 p.m., narcotics officers conducted an investigation into reported drug sales from a room of the Best Price Motel & Suites located at 2610 Interstate 10 in Orange. According to OPD, officers seized six ounces of methamphetamine and multiple packages of synthetic marijuana after searching the room, culminating in the arrest of 26-year-old Autumn Liann Durden of Orange. Durden was charged with second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance.

The arrest is Durden's second this month. OPD reports Durden was previously arrested on April 6 for possession of a controlled substance while at the Studio 6 motel located at 2505 Highway 62 in Orange. According to the news release, Durden was in possession of methamphetamine and cocaine during her April 6 arrest.
