Man dead in apparent homicide in Port Arthur
A Port Arthur man is dead after what Port Arthur Police are calling a homicide.
Around 1:13 a.m. Friday morning, Feb. 14, the Port Arthur Police Department received a call of a "man down" in the 800 block of 9th Street. Upon arrival, officers found twenty-nine-year old Eric Darnel Noel, who had suffered a gunshot wound. Noel was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he later died.
Justice of the Peace Nancy Beaulieu is conducting an inquest into the death and has ordered an autopsy.
A suspect has not been identified, and Port Arthur police detectives are continuing to investigate, PAPD said in a press release.
