Fundraiser to benefit children of Aaron and Summer Conn

Aaron and Summer Conn of Vidor were killed in what Orange County Sheriff's deputies deemed a "double homicide" Friday, Nov. 23. The young couple left behind three children. Aaron Conn’s uncle Gary Rivette and aunt Sherry Dupuis are putting together a fundraiser to benefit Aaron and Summer’s three sons – Tyler, 13; Trenton, 10; and Tanner, 6.

“My main concern right now is the boys, for their futures” Dupuis said. She some of the money raised at the fundraiser would go toward providing the children with a happy holiday this season. “I want them to have an awesome Christmas. I want to try to put smiles on their faces.”

Dupuis said the fundraiser will take place at Ditto’s at 8025 College St. in Beaumont on Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. She said there will be a pool tournament and boudain, Zummo’s sausage, and brisket sandwiches will be served at the fundraiser. They are still working out the details. Dupuis said they have an account for the children set up at Gulf Coast Credit Union on Dowlen in Beaumont. The checking account number is 64615. Anyone interested in attending the fundraiser can call her at (409) 651-3603 or (409) 752-5954.
