Free Beaumont Dementia Conference set for March 21

The Alzheimer’s Association is holding its 2013 Beaumont Dementia Conference March 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. in the Baptist Hospital Cancer Center Auditorium, located at 3555 Stagg Dr. in Beaumont.

The 2013 Beaumont Dementia Conference seeks to improve clinical outcomes and quality of care by providing professionals with the necessary tools to effectively respond to the needs of persons with dementia. The Alzheimer's Association is committed to helping professionals improve their knowledge and skills, build stronger teams and deliver better care to people with dementia and their families. Nurses and social workers will obtain 6.5 free continuing education credits to stay licensed and learn valuable skills to use at their work place.

Dr. Christine Jensen will deliver the keynote presentation.  Jensen serves as the director of community and health services research with the Center for Excellence in Aging and Lifelong Health in Williamsburg, Va.
