Former CCS teacher indicted for educator/student relationship

According to information from Sgt. Chad Hogan of the Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO), on Monday October 1, 2012 the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Administration at Community Christian School at 3400 MLK Drive in Orange concerning an Improper Relationship between Educator and Student. The alleged incident involved an educator at the school and a high school student.Investigators with OCSO's Criminal Investigations Division obtained information from school district officials and students regarding the allegations. Once the investigation was complete, the case was presented to the Orange County District Attorney’s for review and disposition.On Wednesday, December 12, 2012 this case was presented to the Orange County Grand Jury. As a result, Valerie Danielle Sonnier, a 30-year-old Orange resident, was indicted for 2 counts of Improper Relationship between an Educator and Student. Sonnier turned herself in at the Orange County Correctional Facility. Bond has been set at $20,000.
