Azaleas in bloom
Enjoy inspiration from nature at Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center as azaleas come into full bloom. With up to 20 varieties of azaleas in bloom and an additional 300 other plant species throughout the gardens, Shangri La is brimming with springtime colors. Today, a large number of azaleas featured around the gardens are beginning to bloom for Spring.
“With over 2,000 azaleas currently in bloom, now is the perfect time to visit Shangri La. The bright blooms of azaleas provide an extra pop of color to the landscape this time of year,” said Shangri La Managing Director, Michael Hoke. Group tours and school tours are welcome. Tour groups are offered special rates but are asked to check availability and arrange tour times in advance.
Shangri La is located at 2111 West Park Avenue in Orange, Texas. The gardens are open to the public from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon – 5 p.m. Sunday. Visitors are asked to arrive no later than one hour before the scheduled closing time in order to fully enjoy the facility.
