"Angry Birds"; police discover brand of synthetic pot in Orange

Police in Orange arrested a 17-year-old Orange resident after the youth was found to be in possession of a bag of what they believe to be synthetic marijuana labeled "Angry Birds."

According to a police report from OPD, police arrested the young man after making a traffic stop on Friday, March 7, at approximately 8:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Morrell Avenue after the driver of the vehicle in which the suspect was a passenger failed to use a turn signal. As OPD conducted a search of the vehicle, the teenager admitted being in possession of synthetic marijuana, police report, and handed over the package of "Angry Birgs." He was then arrested for possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Orange County Jail.

The driver was issued a citation for no insurance, according to police.
