One man is in critical condition after a shooting in Vidor.
On Thursday, Jan. 31 at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a shooting in the 2900 block of FM 1131 in Vidor. Upon arrival Deputies found a man with a gunshot wound to his face. The gunshot victim was identified as Darius Lacombe, a 50-year-old Vidor resident. Air Ambulance transported Lacombe to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Investigators determined that the incident occurred inside a residence in the 2900 block of FM 1131. According to witnesses, the victim was shot in the face for an unknown reason. The suspect has been identified as Bryan Allen Duhon, a 26-year-old Buna resident. Duhon fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies.
The victim underwent surgery and is currently in critical but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Investigators have not been able to speak to the victim due to his current condition. Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies located the suspect with the assistance of the US Marshals Service. Bryan Allen Duhon was arrested for two outstanding Orange County warrants for probation violation and motion to impose guilt. Duhon was transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility and bond has been denied due to the outstanding probation violation warrants.
