At least 44 Beaumont-area residents tested positive for COVID-19 July 26, according to Beaumont Mayor Robin Mouton’s daily update.

That number includes 37 Beaumont residents, as well as two from China, one from Hamshire and one from Bevil Oaks, and 20 of those people are between the ages of 21 and 40. To date, Beaumont has confirmed 11,021 positive COVID-19 cases and fully vaccinated 82,060 of its population over the age of 12, which amounts to about 39%.

Free vaccination appointments are available at a number of local pharmacies, health clinics and hospitals. Interested residents can make appointments by calling Baptist Hospital, Beaumont EMS, the Beaumont Public Health Department, as well as at major pharmacies like CVS, Walgreens, Sam’s Club or HEB.
