Keystone XL Pipeline garnered approval from the United States House of Representatives on Nov. 14, according to a press release from Congressman Randy Weber's office.

H.R. 5682 passed by a vote of 252 to 161 and now goes to the Senate for a vote. Representative Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) made the following statement:

At approximately 9:30 a.m., Beaumont Fire Rescue received multiple calls reporting a structure fire at 5380 Margo, near Beaumont Drive, off of Concord. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire conditions with flames coming out several openings. According to a press release, the occupant, Everett Abbott, 72, was able to escape before firefighters arrived but he was severely burned with first and second degree burns to his upper body.

During a work session in a regular Beaumont City Council meeting Wednesday, Nov 12, city officials and council members reviewed and discussed the proposed Best Years Senior Center Project. During a presentation on the new facility and its location beside the Event Centre in downtown Beaumont, J. Rob Clark, principal architect at Architectural Alliance Inc., along with his team showed the council and attending citizens the projected new center and its surrounding amenities.
