Dancers from Ashland’s Affirming Arts Studio visited Calder Woods retirement community in Beaumont on Monday, July 27, to entertain residents. Resident Edith Lee, 99 (pictured), especially enjoyed the visit. Ashland’s Affirming Arts Studio owner Ashley Landry-Breaux said the studio regularly visits retirement communities in the area. “This is something that we do,” Landry-Breaux said.

A local man was injured while assisting an officer investigating a call reporting a disturbance at a Vidor apartment complex on Aug. 15.
