A Nederland brewery is looking to expand into Beaumont, according to a proposal set to appear before the city council at its April 26 meeting. Buckstin Brewing Company founder Gabrielle Blanco has applied for a specific use permit that would allow her to establish a brewpub at 6280 Phelan Blvd.

According to the Lake Charles American Press, a Nederland man was arrested April 20, after trying to sell drugs at a truck stop off Interstate 10 in Jeff Davis Parish at Peto’s Truck Stop in Roanoke, Louisiana, which is approximately 60 mins from the Texas/Louisiana border.
