A Wednesday, Feb. 13, argument in the 5000 block of Pine Street almost turned deadly when one young girl stabbed another. 

According to a Beaumont Police Department press release, witnesses said the altercation had gone on throughout the day, culminating around 7:13 p.m. when the altercation between the two 12-year-old girls became physical. After being pushed to the ground, one girl grabbed a knife and stabbed the other in the stomach.
