Shooting leaves Orange man dead

Posted by Jennifer Johnson

In the early evening hours of July 14, Orange police were called to the scene of a shooting at 103 Amaryllis in the city limits, according to reports from the department. Officers found J27-year-old Jimmy Paul Taylor shot in the chest. Investigator believe Taylor sustained those injuries as the hand of a 26-year-old unidentified Orange man.

Taylor received emergency medical treatment from the Orange Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance Service and was transported to Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange, where he died as a result of the gunshot wound.

Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Derry Dunn pronounced Taylor deceased and ordered an autopsy performed. At the time of the agency's press release, no charges had been filed in the case.
