It’s not every day you get to chat on the phone with one of the members of the greatest rock bands of all time — Aerosmith. For more than 40 years, the boys from Boston, Mass., have given us music lovers some of the best songs to ever come out of our speakers such as “Dream On,” “Sweat Emotion,” “Walk This Way,” “Come Together,” “Dude Looks Like a Lady,” “Angel,” “Ragdoll,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” “Love in an Elevator,” “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” just to name a few.

With so many hits, how does Aerosmith go about choosing songs for a setlist? That’s one of many questions I asked bassist Tom Hamilton — what goes in to picking a setlist with a catalog full of massive hits. The Let Rock Rule Tour also features a performance by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy, giving you another reason to buy tickets to the biggest show of the summer.

The tour buses will roll into The Woodlands on Monday, Aug. 25 and the gates of Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion (woolandscenter.org) will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available via ticketmaster.com for $155, $125, $99.50, $69, $49.50 and lawn tickets are $39.50.
