Many times before, in this column and regularly on my radio show, I have repeated the three most important words in computing: “Backup! Backup! Backup!” Hopefully by now, most of you are maintaining current backup copies of all of your critical data, and an image of your hard drive for the inevitable failure of your primary hard drive. I have published numerous reviews on good quality free and commercial software and online services that can be used to back up your hard drive.

Available basically for free (with charges for some services and content), Google recently rolled out the public release of Google Play (play.google.com), which integrates movies, music, apps, games and books under a single banner. Q. My boyfriend and I bought a house two years ago. We recently broke up and he kept the house. He has been late on the mortgage payment, and the bank is now calling me. How do I get my name off this loan?
