Southeast Texas women have a safe place to turn in their time of need – the Hope Women’s Resource Clinic at 1155 Interstate 10 Frontage Road in Beaumont. Now, on Oct. 28, Southeast Texans have the chance to give back to the charitable organization and delight in an exquisite evening including a delicious dinner, melodious music, illuminating instruction and much more during the clinic’s annual gala.

Pioneering Women is recognizing five honorees for their volunteer efforts in the community and celebrating the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, at “The Amazing Greats” luncheon Thursday, Aug. 7. The event promises to be fun and informative for all who attend, says Pioneering Women founder Georgine Guillory.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Association is hosting the fifth annual “Cops Helping Kids” Saltwater Fishing Tournament on July 25 and 26 at the Dick Dowling State Park in Sabine Pass, and they need help to meet their fundraising goal of $100,000.
