Recently, a friend related his experience with a medical problem. After lengthy waits to get medical attention, he went to the hospital ER. His complaints were low-grade fever and in general feeling bad. After being admitted to the hospital and receiving a battery of tests, no major problems were indicated. Finally it was determined that a boil on his rear was his only ailment. When I was a child, my dad lanced a big boil on my knee by sticking it with a sewing needle and mashed it until a core popped out.

Just before the duck season began, I talked with Jim Sutherlin, Upper Coast Wetland Ecosystem project leader, at the J.D. Murphree Wildlife Management Area in Port Arthur. Thanks to the drought, he wasn’t too sure how good the public duck hunts were going to be at this Southeast Texas hotspot. His thinking was that the ducks would get here but leave in short order due to an acute lack of food. Come to find out, big time numbers of birds are here, and duck hunts at the J.D.

Q. In October my boyfriend purchased a car and I co-signed. We broke up, and he moved out of state and took the car. He has been sending me payments, and so far everything is fine. I was wondering, from a legal standpoint is there anyway I can take him to court to get my name off the note?
